Mapping Markets: Delhi Darwaza is a unique example of space where diverse streets meet. Each street has its own identity which holds a particular market. The diverse nature is characterized by what is sold which is spice, vegetables, clothes, plastic and disposable item’s, seasonal goods, jewelry etc.

Mapping communities:  Maps indicate the communities that reside around Delhi Darwaza junction. First map shows the Hindus & Muslim communities and while the second map indicate the subdivisions within the Hindu community.

Mapping curiosity: One might have a curiosity or concern when they see a stranger trying to collect information about their place. This map is all the voices we encountered during survey, while some are voices of curiosity and some are questions of concern.

Mapping smell: As the different streets are playing a different role in terms of market area, smell of one streets differs from another. Mapping of these varieties of smell differing from market to market was actually very interesting to map it down. Through this map one can actually guess what type of market resides where in the junction of Delhi Darwaza.

Mapping people movement: This map shows the movement of people and how it differs from market to market. The cloth market has more complex movement while vegetable and spice market have linear movement. Also the arrangement and vehicles changes the movement of the people. Here we have tried to compare the movement of female as well as male and according to the study we conclude that men are actually quick buyers and they don’t walk around much to buy a particular item, while in case of women its sometimes different.

Mapping people and vehicles: The density of people changes according to the timing of the market. People are more in number in evening as compared to morning. Also because of it the vehicular movement gets disturbed and traffic is noted in evening.

Mapping vehicular movement: At Delhi Darwaza is one of the main junctions of markets the vehicular movement throughout the day is normally high. This map shows the movement of 3 different types of vehicles at 3 different times of the day and its clearly seen that due to high traffic zone people prefer 2 or 3 wheeler to come to this area so movements of 2 and 3 wheelers are high throughout the day.

Mapping sounds: These is a sound mapping done along the main roads of Delhi Darwaza. It is seen that the main streets are having high frequency of sounds as the number of vehicles using that main road are much higher than other secondary roads of the junction.

Mapping the identification of the area and time: In this map shops are represented in terms of banner it holds and a clock shows average timing of opening of shops in that particular market.
