On June 2,2014 the Charlottesville City Council adopted a comprehensive three-year strategic plan intended to serve as an organisational map for the benefit of the city’s residents, businesses and visitors. The maps were developed by the “Department and Services of Virginia”.
Map 1: The “Zonal map” consists of total six zonal areas. Zone one and two consists of natural and rural are as where development is minimum. While zone three to six has low intensity residential areas, medium intensity and high intensity areas, commercial and downtown areas where development is maximum. The “Framework of streets” is shown where main roads and streets are highlighted.
Map 2: The “Land use map” consists information regarding the low and high density areas, commercial and business hubs, private or public spaces and the natural area. So this map gives us a clear idea how the areas and spaces are specifically divided.
