Looking at Cities- Vaishvi Likhar

The author Jacobs Allan describes the city and explains how to look at places which we usually miss out. He walks down on the Diamond Street in Sans Francisco and describes the houses and the small details  such as paint on the wall. He also explains the windows in the houses and the people staying in them. The old and new, the changes and additions in the buildings and the activities happening on the street are explained in a powerful way.

He also mentions the importance of development and how urban planner looks at places. He tells about the city and neighbourhood and the history about the place. He says how places or lanes are divided according to the income and status of the families. He also mentions how informations matter and how things are manipulated from the reality. The author thus tells how important the minute observations are and how do they affect us in various aspects.
