Bivariate Population Map, Chicago – Nemi Shah

The city of Chicago known as ‘The Vertical City’ with its large population, defined neighbourhoods, and a high vertical extent is the study area for this project. The Bivariate Map illustrates the spaces where population density characterizes the spaciousness or crowdedness of the environment of Chicago. This method of population mapping represents the distribution of people more accurately across the urban spaces and the amount of space each person has in the city. This helps to count the vertically aligned space for each person across the extent of the city and how the population is distributed across an urban space.
