Adventures In Mega City, Sam Miller – Kalgi Kapasi

The author Sam Miller, describes the gestures of the city ‘Delhi’ with his imagination from cinematography. His perception of the city and its environment as a whole describes the book. He starts with the history of the city and how did it evolved from its own ruins. Delhi has been described as a MEGAPOLLIS and the DREAMTOWN OF INDIA. The comparison of shades and moods of the city with some foreign countries makes it interesting. Its evolution through time and the final outcomes explained in the writing inspires a reader towards the city. In this writing Delhi in the whole world is justified as an incubator for an uncertain urban future. According to him Delhi is loaded with lots of matlabi’s and provincial public. He decide to explore the city in a specific pattern just like a flaneur . Finally he explored the city by following an endless spiral pathway from the city center.
